As a former high school teacher, I know how much work and effort go into your four years of High
school. Now you are almost finished and looking forward to college and all of the experiences that
await you there. It’s an exciting time and there is so much to look forward to. As a mother who has
put two children through college, I know that there can be an incredible financial burden that comes
along with that education. I would like to help in some small way with that cost.
I am now a realtor in the Greater St. Louis area, helping many families find a place to call home.
The place that we call home and the feelings that we have toward it, are different for each individual.
As you look to the future and think about the possibility of leaving home for the first time, reflect on
what home means to you. You can submit a 300-600 word essay explaining what Home means to
you. The winner of this essay contest will receive a one time $500 scholarship to the college or
university of their choice.
Essays will be judged on content, execution and creativity. Essays can be emailed to, or sent to the address below. Essays are due April 24th, 2022
and winners will be announced in May. You must be a senior graduating in 2022, planning to attend
either a 2 or 4 year academic college program in the fall of 2022. Seniors attending high schools in
the greater St. Louis area are invited to apply.

Please include the following information with your essay.

First and last name
Student email address
Home Address
Parent name and email address
Phone number
High School
College or University that you plan to attend
Course of study (if known)
And of course the 300-600 word essay

By submiting, you are stating that the essay is your own work, and you are also giving us permission
to share the essay and your picture receiving the award on our website, social media sites, newsletter
and community news sources. Scholarship check will be made directly to the college or university of
your choice and be applied to your first semester.
Thank you for your essay submission, and best wishes on your graduation and all of the exciting
adventures awaiting you.
